This is the main tourist promenade on the "Bund" or riverfront in Shanghai, China.  People mill around, and look at the skyline across the Huangpu River in the Pudong district, which is sprouting skyscrapers almost as you watch.  The large one is the "Oriental Pearl TV Tower", about the same size as the Eiffel Tower and the Sears Tower.  I waited for about half an hour, and took the shot many times, before I got the array of onlookers that I wanted: nicely spread out, nobody dominating, and a nice, casual feel.  The perpetual haze of Shanghai smog lent a nice, washed-out look to the skyline across the river.  Photographed with a digital Nikon.  The only manipulation I applied was to use a skew distortion to remove the keystoning of the tall buildings.
